Culinaria is a San Antonio–based non-profit that celebrates local cuisine through events like the Tasting Texas Food & Wine Festival, while supporting culinary education and sustainable food initiatives. Despite its vibrant mission, the organization’s existing website was difficult to navigate, inconsistent in branding, and ineffective at guiding users toward key actions like purchasing event tickets, making donations, or learning about the impact of their contributions. Our redesign aimed to create a clear, engaging, and action-driven platform that reflected Culinaria’s identity while making it effortless for visitors to connect with events, donate with confidence, and understand the organization’s role in the community.
This was a collaborative project completed over three weeks.
My Responsibilities:
The existing Culinaria website failed to guide visitors toward its two most important goals — attending events and supporting the organization. Confusing navigation, cluttered layouts, and inconsistent branding made it difficult for users to find information quickly. Essential actions like purchasing festival tickets or learning how donations made an impact were buried deep in the site, creating frustration and reducing engagement.

We redesigned the website to prioritize clarity, brand consistency, and action-oriented navigation. The new design introduces a fixed navigation bar, cleaner page layouts, and above-the-fold festival details that encourage immediate engagement. Event information is displayed in interactive carousels, and donation impact statements are prominently placed to build trust. The visual identity was refined with consistent typography, logo placement, and alignment — ensuring the site feels cohesive and credible.
